System Overview

Getting Started

Setting up a base and lifter.

The lifters / controller configuration process

The video demonstrates the different usage of the lifters and how to set it up, each lifter is capable of each type. It only requires you to physically change the lifter, and then change the mode on the controller.

NOTE: This video shows an older version of the controller, but still gives an idea of how the system works.

Get shooting quick

On a smaller range with 4 lifters and two people, it takes about 10 minutes to setup. One of the individual’s has prior experience setting up a system and the other is helping for the first time. They are able to setup the entire kit in just under 10 minutes.

The goal of the system is to be fast and easy to setup, simple to use and portable enough to transport everything in a regular size sedan.

NOTE: If you aren’t using the “Everything Kit” and are using your own base mount options it could be much quicker.

About the controller

The controller works with either 2x or 4x lifters and is powered by an internal rechargeable battery that changes via USB-C. It provides more than 1,500 lifts on a charge. The controller has three modes:

Range Master: Primarily for courses of fire, qualifications, or group classes. This mode turns all the targets at the same time. The user can choose to have the targets turn back (hide) after a certain amount of time, or never turn back. The 4 channel version you can set the time when the targets all hide to be anything from 1 second to 60 seconds. The 2 channel controller only allows for the preset times of: 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 12, 15, 30 seconds. You can have all the targets turn directly after you press Target 1, or by pressing Target 2 it has a 5 second delay, allowing for solo courses or qualifications.

Remote: This works with the soon to be released Visual Shot Timer / Remote and motion activated sensor.

Standard: This allows for manually moving the targets by pressing a button. The controller has 5 random modes as well as 5 preset drills.

Once each lifter has been physically setup in either pop up, rotate or peek you set the controller to match. When you press the target button it will cycle between show, or hidden. This could be up or down or other moments depending on how the physical lifter is setup.

The “random” setting allows one person to train using the system. You have the choose of a long initial delay or a short initial delay as well as if you want the target to appear and disappear “fast” or “slow”. There are 5 pre programed “drills”, which allows for something similar to random but each person in a group could have the same experience to compare skill sets.

The controller is not designed to be left outdoors overnight or for use during inclement weather. It hasn’t had a problem being outdoors for a week at a time occasionally. It was not designed for it and it may age faster than expected.d for this and that is not recommend.

Lifter Standard

Designed to lift a full size IPSC cardboard target on a 20”-40” inch long 1”x 2” piece of wood in about 1 second (with a full charge). The lifter has enough power to overcome 10-15 mph winds or handle larger targets, such as 24” by 36” cardboard backers. The lifter can be arranged to have targets pop up from the ground, around a corner or rotate, allowing for shoot / no shoot scenarios.

This kit comes with one mount per lifter that can be easily attached to any piece of suitable wood. More info on the base HERE

The lifter is not designed to be left outdoors overnight or for use during inclement weather. It hasn’t had a problem being outdoors for a week at a time occasionally. It was not designed for this and that is not recommend.

The Lifter uses standard 3 pin XLR cable. Using 16 AWG XLR cable it works up to ~ 90 yards. With 20AWG it works up to ~40 yards. Using rotating only mode it will work past 100 yards with 20AWG or greater cable.

The cable can be daisychained together, IE you can connect two 35 ft cables to make a 70ft cable.

Base Options

Both options use the same dovetail system to allow for quickly securing and removing lifters from the mount.

Base Mount - can be attached to a suitable piece of wood or other material to create a stable base. One included with each lifter.

Portable/Lightweight Base - With an approx. 44” foot print when assembled it allows for a stable platform. Disassembled, the largest portion is less than 22”. Easy to store and transport, this option makes setup, teardown and storage simple.

-LITE -Portable/Lightweight Base -using only three legs that are much shorter it is designed to be used with the Lifter LITE’s and although they are compatible with the Lifter Standard they are not recommended for use with them.

Warranty and Returns

  • We offer a one year warranty for the standard version and a 2 year warranty for the LE / Commercial version. This warranty includes manufacture defects in the product as well as normal wear and tear (does not include bullet strikes).

Future Accessories

In the development pipeline we currently have a remote motion control box to allow for the target to react when someone gets close, wireless control options and a hit sensor. All will be backward compatible and will augment the current system not replace it…
